Representing Over 80 Clubs Since 1885
The NWIFA was formed back in 1885 and is one of four Divisional Associations affiliated to the Irish Football Association, the others being Co Antrim & District FA, Mid-Ulster FA and the Fermanagh & Western FA.
The business of the Association is conducted by a Council composed of members from Senior, Intermediate, Junior and Ladies football.
The Association currently has over 80 member clubs including 8 Ladies teams.
Each year the Council will select the following Committees:-
Senior/Intermediate Cup Committee
Junior Committee
Disciplinary Committee
The Committees will have responsibility for dealing with Disciplinary issues arising in Junior football and the successful running of the following cups:-
North West Senior Cup
NW Craig Memorial Cup
NW Matt Morrison Memorial
The Council nominated six members each year to serve on the Irish Football Association Council.
